Use with plumbing fixtures:

It's also perfect for making light fittings out of plumbing fittings. Specially selected for its size and thread, it fits ideally into the 1''1/4 (33x42mm) female fittings sold in the shop. It can therefore be fitted directly onto a Tee or an Elbow in this size. In addition, reduced fittings (e.g. 1''1/4 elbow on one side and 1/2'' on the other) are available to adapt this type of assembly to lighter structures.
