The Male/Female black iron extension piece (ref. 529A) is a straight fitting designed to extend an existing thread. It adds a few centimetres to a pipe outlet or another fitting, without changing the direction of the pipework.
Why use this black iron extension piece?
This simple and effective fitting meets a recurring need in plumbing and DIY projects:
- Compensate for insufficient length: When the thread of a pipe or fitting is too short to reach the desired connection point, the extension piece provides the necessary offset without replacing the existing element.
