Brass Equal Socket M/F
Equal socket M/F in brass for threaded connection, featuring a male (threaded) end and a female (tapped) end of the same diameter. This socket serves as an extension or as a gender adapter in your assemblies. ISO 228-1 BSPP standard.
Description of the Equal Socket M/F in Brass
This mixed socket combines a male thread and a female thread of the same diameter. It primarily serves as an extension to move a fitting away from a wall or another element, or as a gender adapter to convert a female outlet into a male outlet (and vice versa).
An essential fitting for adjusting the length of an assembly or reversing the gender of a fitting. Solderless installation. Widely used in decoration to space out elements and create airy structures in exposed brass.

Installation tips
- Use PTFE tape (Teflon) or hemp to ensure sealing on male threads
- For flat gasket seats, use a flat gasket with a minimum thickness of 1 mm
- Tighten with a open-end wrench ou adjustable wrench — do not use pliers to avoid marking the fitting
- Apply moderate tightening torque — over-tightening may damage the thread
