Brass Flanged Lock Nut
Brass flanged lock nut to lock and secure a threaded fitting in place. The wide flange provides an extended bearing surface and a neat finish. Used in plumbing, lighting and decoration. ISO 228-1 BSPP thread.
Brass Flanged Lock Nut Description
This flanged lock nut screws onto a male thread to lock a fitting in position. The wide flange distributes tightening pressure over a larger surface, preventing damage to adjacent parts. It ensures a secure hold with no risk of loosening.
An essential part for wall pass-throughs, tap fixings and decorative assemblies. Its neat and polished appearance also makes it an ideal visible component for exposed brass installations.

Installation tips
- Use PTFE tape (Teflon) or hemp to ensure sealing on male threads
- For flat gasket seats, use a flat gasket with a minimum thickness of 1 mm
- Tighten with an open-end wrench or adjustable wrench — do not use slip-joint pliers to avoid damaging the fitting
- Apply moderate tightening torque — over-tightening may damage the thread
