Brass Meter Union Half Long ISO 7-1
Brass half union meter fitting compliant with ISO 7-1 (tapered thread) for meter connection. Long thread version, ensuring enhanced sealing through tapered metal-to-metal tightening.
Description of the Half Union Meter Fitting ISO 7-1
This half union fitting uses the ISO 7-1 standard with a tapered thread, unlike the ISO 228-1 version (parallel). The tapered thread provides progressive sealing through metal-to-metal tightening, particularly reliable for pressurised circuits.
It is installed in pairs with a swivel nut on the water or gas meter. The long version offers a greater thread engagement depth for optimal hold. PTFE gasket or hemp recommended to complete the sealing.

Installation tips
- Use PTFE tape (Teflon) or hemp to ensure sealing on male threads
- For flat gasket seats, use a flat gasket with a minimum thickness of 1 mm
- Tighten with an open-end spanner ou adjustable spanner — do not use pliers to avoid marking the fitting
- Apply moderate tightening torque — excessive tightening may damage the thread
