Brass Reducing Nipple F/M
Brass F/M reducing nipple threaded fitting combining a female (internally threaded) end and a male (externally threaded) end with different diameters. This mixed fitting provides both gender change and diameter reduction. ISO 228-1 BSPP standard.
Description of the Brass F/M Reducing Nipple
This F/M reducing nipple offers a dual function: it adapts the connection gender (female to male) while performing a diameter reduction. The female end accepts a male fitting, while the male end screws into a smaller female fitting.
Its versatility makes it an essential fitting for complex configurations. Assembly without soldering. Suitable for professional plumbing and decorative projects requiring diameter transitions.

Installation tips
- Use PTFE tape (Teflon) or hemp to ensure sealing on male threads
- For flat gasket seats, use a flat gasket with a minimum thickness of 1 mm
- Tighten with an open-end wrench or adjustable wrench — do not use pliers to avoid marking the fitting
- Apply moderate tightening torque — overtightening may damage the thread
