Brass Equal Nipple
Brass equal nipple, screw-in, male threaded on both sides, for connecting two female tapped components of the same diameter. A fundamental connecting part in plumbing and décor. Thread compliant with ISO 228-1 BSPP.
Description of the Brass Equal Nipple
The equal nipple is a short fitting, threaded male on both sides, used to join two female fittings of the same size. It is one of the most widely used parts in plumbing for making direct connections between couplings, elbows, tees or other tapped fittings.
The compact 6-sided body ensures a good spanner grip. Solder-free installation. In décor, the equal nipple acts as a short connector between two parts, ideal for compact assemblies in exposed brass.

Installation tips
- Use PTFE tape (Teflon) or hemp to ensure sealing on male threads
- For flat gasket seats, use a flat gasket with a minimum thickness of 1 mm
- Tighten with an open-end spanner or an adjustable spanner — do not use slip-joint pliers, to avoid marking the part
- Apply a moderate tightening torque — overtightening can damage the thread
