Brass Reducing Bushing M/F

Brass M/F reducing bushing, screw-in, used to reduce the diameter of a connection by going from a male thread to a smaller female thread. A compact, discreet part, ideal for tight spaces. ISO 228-1 BSPP standard.

Description of the Brass M/F Reducing Bushing

This M/F reducing bushing screws into a larger female fitting and provides a smaller-diameter female outlet. It is the simplest and most compact way to adapt a piece of equipment to a network of a different diameter.

Its short profile makes it almost invisible in the assembly, unlike a longer reducing coupling. Solder-free assembly. Available in a very wide choice of diameter combinations to cover every plumbing and décor configuration.

Installation tips

• Use PTFE tape (Teflon) or hemp to ensure sealing on male threads
• For flat gasket seats, use a flat gasket with a minimum thickness of 1 mm
• Tighten with an open-end spanner or an adjustable spanner — do not use slip-joint pliers, to avoid marking the part
• Apply a moderate tightening torque — overtightening can damage the thread
