Brass Reducing Nipple
Brass reducing nipple, screw-in, male threaded on both sides with different diameters. Connects two female components of different sizes while providing the diameter transition. ISO 228-1 BSPP standard.
Description of the Brass Reducing Nipple
This reducing nipple is male threaded on both sides, with an inlet diameter larger than the outlet diameter. It screws into two female fittings of different sizes to create a diameter reduction in the circuit.
The hexagonal 6-sided body makes tightening with a spanner easy. Solder-free assembly. Available in a wide range of size combinations, this nipple covers most reduction needs in domestic and industrial plumbing.

Installation tips
- Use PTFE tape (Teflon) or hemp to ensure sealing on male threads
- For flat gasket seats, use a flat gasket with a minimum thickness of 1 mm
- Tighten with an open-end spanner or an adjustable spanner — do not use slip-joint pliers, to avoid marking the part
- Apply a moderate tightening torque — overtightening can damage the thread
