Black Cast Iron Male/Female Reducer
This black cast iron reducer is ideal for connecting two fittings of different sizes. It is compatible with all black cast iron fittings or galvanized ones, and with threaded black steel pipes or galvanized ones of the same size sold in our online shop. The parts simply screw together, without welding, to make strong assemblies easily.
Description of the Male/Female (M/F) Reducer Fitting
The reducer is used to connect two fittings of different sizes. The outer part is threaded (male) and screws into a tapped female fitting. The inner part is tapped (female) and can accommodate a threaded fitting such as a black steel pipe.
Reducing Nipple Features and Uses
Although we use our fittings for decor, this is a genuine plumbing part made of whiteheart malleable cast iron that complies with EN 10242 and ISO49 standards. Superior quality and a guarantee of rock-solid sturdiness!
The threads on this part are BSPT (ISO 7-1 standard) with tapered (male) threaded ends. The top part of the reducer can easily be screwed in with a spanner thanks to its hexagonal head.
