The hot-dip galvanized malleable cast‑iron oval threaded mounting flange is an essential fixing piece for creating a robust anchor point to mount a threaded pipe on a flat surface such as a wall, floor, or worktop.
What is this threaded flange for?
This flange—sometimes called a wall plate or foot flange—securely fixes the end of a threaded pipe. Its two holes allow solid fastening to the substrate, ensuring structural stability.
It’s particularly popular for exposed plumbing projects or for building industrial‑style furniture and fittings: shelves, bookcases, wardrobes, table legs, or stair handrails.
Technical Features (EN 10242 Compliance)
Manufactured to European standard EN 10242, this is a true plumbing component for durable installations. The standard guarantees precise characteristics:
- High‑Quality Material: Malleable cast iron (grade EN‑GJMW‑400‑5 to EN 1562), renowned for mechanical strength and ruggedness.
- Superior Anti‑Corrosion Protection: Hot‑dip galvanized finish with a zinc layer around 70 µm. This protection ensures long service life and gives the fitting an industrial raw look.
- Standard Female Thread (BSP): The central female thread is parallel (Rp) to ISO 7‑1. It is designed to receive a standard male taper thread (R), ensuring a stable, compliant assembly.
Installation Tip
Note: this plate has large, straight fixing holes, so it’s better suited to bolts.
