Description and contents of the socket kit:

The socket kit is ideal for creating industrial or steampunk-style light fixtures from plumbing fittings.

This kit consists of:

• a black cast iron or black cast iron Eco fitting (selectable in the options) to hold the socket (plus a reducer for some sizes),
• a steel ring,
• a metal or thermoplastic E27 socket,
• a plastic cable clamp.

Black cast iron or black cast iron Eco? Both fittings have the same threads and are fitted the same way. The “Black cast iron” fitting, from our Premium range, has a black finish with metallic highlights. The more affordable “Black cast iron Eco” fitting has a matte dark grey look. In the 1/2'' (15x21mm) male version, the Eco kit uses a one-piece fitting.

Technical information:

3-wire metal socket with earth terminal: use a 3-core cable and connect the green/yellow wire to the earth terminal.
2-wire thermoplastic socket, without earth terminal. For a light fixture with accessible metal parts, choose a kit with a 3-wire metal socket, which allows earthing.

Rated voltage: 250 Vac.
Rated current: 4 A.
Terminals: screw-type, for rigid or flexible cables of 0.5 to 2.5 mm².
