Brass Reducing Nipple M/F
Brass M/F reducing nipple threaded fitting with a small diameter male (externally threaded) end and a larger diameter female (internally threaded) end. This fitting provides diameter increase while changing the connection gender. ISO 228-1 BSPP standard.
Description of the Brass M/F Reducing Nipple
This M/F reducing nipple combines a small diameter male thread and a female thread of larger diameter. It allows connecting a small female element to a large male element, performing a diameter increase.
This fitting is the reverse of the standard F/M reducing nipple and provides a complementary solution for assemblies requiring upward size transitions. Assembly without soldering, body with hexagonal shape.

Installation tips
- Use PTFE tape (Teflon) or hemp to ensure sealing on male threads
- For flat gasket seats, use a flat gasket with a minimum thickness of 1 mm
- Tighten with an open-end wrench or adjustable wrench — do not use pliers to avoid marking the fitting
- Apply moderate tightening torque — overtightening may damage the thread
