Axial dry pressure gauge, ABS case — Ø40 to Ø63
On an axial gauge the brass connection exits at the rear of the case, in line with the dial. This format is made for panel mounting: the fitting passes through the wall of a technical cabinet, a compressor panel or a machine plate, leaving only the dial visible.
Built to EN 837-1: brass movement with copper Bourdon tube, accuracy class 1.6, dual bar/psi dial, every gauge individually checked at 5 measuring points. Three compact diameters (Ø40, Ø50, Ø63) and two ranges: 0-6 bar for fine low-pressure reading, 0-10 bar for compressed air and mains pressure.
Typical uses
- Replacing the gauge of a workshop compressor (regulated outlet);
- Built-in pressure check in a hydraulic or irrigation cabinet;
- Measuring point on a compressed-air assembly with front reading;
- Visible dial in a furniture piece or industrial build, fitting hidden behind the panel.
For a compressor's regulated outlet (2 to 4 bar), 0-6 bar gives the most readable graduation; 0-10 bar covers common networks and equipment.
Mounting and connection
The brass connection has a BSPP male parallel thread (ISO 228-1): it screws into any female port of the same size — tee, socket, manifold or valve. Seal on the thread (PTFE tape or hemp) and always tighten on the wrench flats with a spanner, never by the case.
If the available port is larger than the gauge thread, a M/F reducing fitting adapts it: for example a 1/2" > 1/4" reducer to fit a 1/4" gauge on a 1/2" tee. Three finishes available: black cast iron M/F reducer, galvanised M/F reducer or brass M/F reducer.
Mounting on pipework or a tee instead (bottom connection)? See the radial dry pressure gauge in ABS, available up to Ø100.

Media and operating limits
- Permissible media: any fluid compatible with brass and copper (water, compressed air…), except high-viscosity or crystallising fluids and hazardous or regulated substances (oxygen, gas, fuels, toxic agents…).
- Dry dial: vibration and water hammer prohibited. On a pump, booster set or vibrating machine, fit a axial liquid-filled stainless steel gauge instead: its damping fluid keeps the pointer steady.
- Ambient temperature: -40 °C to +65 °C.
