An open wardrobe: two bays, three rails
The backbone of an open walk-in wardrobe: three uprights, one single-rail bay for dresses, coats and hung trousers, one double-rail bay to double up shirts and jackets. The uprights stand on the floor and screw to the wall through four flanges. Each bay is chosen separately, from 40 to 150 cm.
Authentic Industrial Character
Handmade in Annecy, in the French Alps, from genuine plumbing parts, every piece is unique. Malleable cast iron fittings and threaded steel pipes: a screwed assembly, with no welding, solid and built to last. The union-nut fittings built into the design let you close the frame without forcing anything — and take it apart just as easily. The three uprights are identical — flange, pipe, tee, union nut, pipe, head — only the head changes: 3-way outlets at the ends, 4-way at the centre.
What you receive
A ready-to-assemble kit, delivered partly assembled: every part is cleaned and varnished in our workshop. Assembly is done by hand, without tools. Only the wall fixing calls for a drill, with screws and plugs that you must choose for the type of wall you have — they are not included.
Choosing your two bays
The single bay (one rail at 210 cm) takes everything that hangs long: dresses, coats, clip-hung trousers. The double bay (rails at 101 and 210 cm) doubles the capacity for anything under a metre: shirts, jackets, skirts. In the size labels, the first value is the single bay, the second the double bay. Widths add up: an 80 + 120 cm wardrobe takes about 211 cm of wall.

An estimate based on the usable width — allow 1 cm per slim hanger and 2.5 cm per thick coat:

Single bay on the left or on the right
The standard build puts the single bay on the left. The kit can also be assembled mirror-image — double bay on the left, single bay on the right — with exactly the same parts: only the assembly order changes, and the fourth wall fixing stays on the outer upright of the single bay. The gallery visual shows both builds side by side.
Four anchor points on the wall
Each upright is held at the top by a 25 cm arm and a round flange, 210 cm above the floor. The outer upright of the single bay — the only one held by a single rail — is held a second time at mid-height: the free outlet of its tee faces the wall and carries the same 25 cm arm and the same flange, 101 cm above the floor. All four flanges screw into the same plane; the rail axis sits 29 cm from the wall.

Details and Specific Features
The metal is protected by a clear varnish that keeps its raw look; wipe with a soft dry cloth, no water or abrasive products. For indoor use only.
Dimensions are theoretical: the tightening of each fitting and casting tolerances give a variation of about ± 5 mm on every measurement. Accessories and clothes shown in the photos are not included.
The materials may show slight differences in appearance compared to the photographs. These imperfections, which make each piece unique, are part of the raw, authentic and resolutely industrial character of every item sold by Home Invasion.
