Radial dry pressure gauge, ABS case — Ø40 to Ø100
The radial (bottom-entry) gauge is the most common format in plumbing: the brass connection under the case screws vertically onto a tee or female port, with the dial facing the observer. Black ABS case, brass movement with copper Bourdon tube, dual bar/psi graduation: a measuring instrument built to EN 837-1, 100 % checked at 5 measuring points, accuracy class 1.6.
Five dial diameters (Ø40 to Ø100) and two ranges (0-6 or 0-10 bar) cover everyday needs: checking water pressure after a reducing valve, heating circuits, booster sets, compressed air, irrigation, as well as industrial-style decorative builds made from pipe fittings.
Which measuring range?
- 0 to 6 bar — fine reading for a heating circuit (1 to 3 bar) or a domestic network regulated at 3 bar: the pointer works in the middle of the dial.
- 0 to 10 bar — the most versatile range: mains pressure, booster set, compressor.
Sizing rule: working pressure must not exceed 75 % of full scale in steady conditions, 65 % in fluctuating conditions. Example: a booster set cutting out at 5 bar → 0-10 bar dial.
Mounting and connection
The brass connection has a BSPP male parallel thread (ISO 228-1): it screws into any female port of the same size — tee, socket, manifold or valve. Seal on the thread (PTFE tape or hemp) and always tighten on the wrench flats with a spanner, never by the case.
If the available port is larger than the gauge thread, a M/F reducing fitting adapts it: for example a 1/2" > 1/4" reducer to fit a 1/4" gauge on a 1/2" tee. Three finishes available: black cast iron M/F reducer, galvanised M/F reducer or brass M/F reducer.
Radial or axial?
The radial (bottom) connection mounts on pipework or a tee, dial upright. For through-panel mounting on a cabinet or board, see the axial dry pressure gauge in ABS (rear connection).

Media and operating limits
- Permissible media: any fluid compatible with brass and copper (water, compressed air…), except high-viscosity or crystallising fluids and hazardous or regulated substances (oxygen, gas, fuels, toxic agents…).
- Dry dial: vibration and water hammer prohibited. On a pump, booster set or vibrating machine, fit a radial liquid-filled stainless steel gauge instead: its damping fluid keeps the pointer steady.
- Ambient temperature: -40 °C to +65 °C.
