This black cast iron equal nipple is ideal for connecting 2 tapped (female) fittings of the same size. It is compatible with all black cast iron fittings or galvanized ones of the same size sold in our online shop. The parts simply screw together, without welding, to make strong assemblies easily.

Description of the equal nipple fitting:

The equal nipple has two threaded (male) ends of the same size, unlike the black cast iron reducing nipple where the 2 threaded ends have different sizes.

Thanks to the hexagonal central part, the nipple can easily be screwed in with an adjustable spanner, for example.

Equal nipple characteristics and uses:

Although we use our fittings for decoration, this is a genuine plumbing part made of whiteheart malleable cast iron that complies with EN 10242 and ISO49 standards. Superior quality and a guarantee of rock-solid sturdiness!

The male threads on this part are tapered (R, known as BSPT, ISO 7-1 standard). They screw into the parallel tapped threads (Rp) of fittings of the same size. The central part of the nipple can easily be screwed in with a spanner thanks to its hexagonal shape.

The equal nipple is particularly useful for connecting two tapped (female) parts easily, taking up less space than a pipe. Screwing is also made easier by the shape of the part, which makes tools easier to use than with a pipe assembly.
