Tutorial for an ultra-easy wood and plumbing pipe lamp:
Making a plumbing pipe lamp can be complicated, but thanks to our painted ready-to-use range, you can easily create this model in 15 minutes flat.
- No degreasing: Your hands and workspace stay clean.
- Immediate finish: Neat black paint, no drying time.
- Smooth assembly: Precise threads for effortless mounting.

🛠️ The Materials: Shopping List
To make this model (vertical structure with offset), we use 3/4" (20/27) size fittings, which offer a visually robust diameter without being too bulky.
1. Plumbing (Black Decor Range)
- The base: 1 x Floor Flange. This is the masterpiece for fixing to the wood.

- The height: 1 x 400 mm Black Threaded Tube. It will form the main mast.

- The angle: 1 x Female 3-way Tee. For the foot/arm junction.

- The offset: 1 x 100 mm Black Threaded Tube. To space out the light source.

- The termination: 1 x Equal Coupling. It finishes the arm.

- The technical trick: 2 x Cable Grip on fitting. The secret to neatly blocking the wire on both sides of the horizontal tube.

2. Wood and Electrical Elements
To contrast with the black metal, we chose Beech, a hard wood with elegant grain.
- The base: A solid beech block (here, a simple serving board!)

- Electricity: An electrical kit (textile cord + plug + switch) with an E27 socket equipped with a wood (beech) socket cover for a perfect match with the base.

The Step-by-Step Tutorial
Step 1: Assembling the Structure
It's like a construction game. Assemble the metal elements by hand:
- Screw the 400 mm tube onto the central outlet of the Tee (the mast).
- On the side outlet of the Tee, screw the 100 mm tube (the arm).
- At the end of the arm, screw the coupling.
- Finally, screw the cable grips to the end of the coupling and onto the tee

Tip: Tighten firmly by hand to adjust alignment.
Step 2: Preparing the Wood Base
Beech is dense. Never screw directly without preparation.
- Position your floor flange on the base.
- Mark the 3 fixing holes with a pencil.
- Drill pilot holes on your marks with a fine wood drill bit.

Step 3: The Marriage of Wood and Metal
- Reposition the flange over the holes.
- Screw it solidly with black screws.

- Then screw your metal structure (the 400 mm tube) directly into the flange now fixed to the base.

Step 4: "Plug & Play" Electrical Installation
We use a pre-wired kit. The goal is to suspend the socket cleanly.
- Pass the cable through the cable grips located on your structure.

- Adjust the height so that the wood socket cover is flush with the metal fitting

- Tighten the small screw on the cable grip to lock the wire.

It's done! Screw in a nice filament bulb and plug it in.

Pro Tips to Enhance Your Creation
Which bulb to choose?
Opt for an LED filament bulb (Edison ST64 type). Choose a "Warm White" temperature (2200K - 2700K) for that amber ambiance typical of industrial style.
